Yeah well, some knock, others don't. Some are gentlemen, some are.... not so gentle. And if you DID knock, I would love to know how. So now that we have the knocking business out of the way, let's get down to business.
I am doing this - this blog business - because I love to talk to anyone who cares to listen. In this case, it is more like write and read, not talk and listen. Basically, a lot of drivel about anything and everything that goes in my mind. Well, almost anything and everything. I also want to put up some stuff I have written, to see if people like it. So here is what I call The Yellow Parchment:
torrents of sound wash the shore
liquor in my veins where Bacchus rules
Shiva dances his destruction jig
forbidden tastes for which the tongue drools
emotions reduced to a jigsaw
expertly solved by dawn's princess
the moon peeks through the clouds
privacy reduced to an absurd excess
departing souls left their memories
photo albums cage and preserve them
journeys to the celestial abode
heaven elevated to a divine harem
false promises lead to deliverance
the juveniles in their delinquent homes
a kingdom of evil takes shape
with the strength of a thousand romes
loyal subjects gather to revolt
crushed like a broken heart
plants of hope still sway in the land
flirtations perfected to an art
extolled the virtues of logic
but death didn't listen to reasoning
life plucked out like a flower
the body pickled without seasoning
ventured too far in the dark
should have remembered the folk-lores
now the king has been check-mated
without a chance to settle scores
There. So what do you think? Like what you see? Of course you did! If you want to read more from my pen, or my keyboard for that matter, go ahead and let me know. I'll tell you what will be better. Why don't you spread the good word around a bit? I would like feedback on my writing, and thoughts conveyed through it, from as large a number of people as possible. So be a sport and shoot from your hip.

anyway... nice work. butt maybe you could now show us your more mature side hmm.....???
coz i mean, not that i know you...butt i FEEEEL your potential. so how about it? i want MORE!

dear anonymous
the spawn comes from me, not the other way around. i am the Bastard King, among other things. since you are not a gentleman, i suppose you did not bother spreading the good word, even though you seemed to appreciate what you read, immature as it may have been. it doesn't make any difference, incedentally, whether you are man, woman or goat. all comments are treated alike.
i would love to put up more stuff here, but i need more comments before i do that. i am doing this for a purpose, you see. which is why i stooped beneath my own dignity to ask readers to spread the word around. yes, even bastards have dignity. if you are the king, all the more so!
by the way, how did you arrive at my blog? and how the hell do you know me?
How do i know you? hmm....read the bible ever?...no! we havent partaken the fruit of each other's loins.
let's just say that i was there when beelzebub got the dagger of Khadragar to show your progeny who the boss was. i watched from the shadows when lucifer and leviathon took the blood oath to exact revenge.
the burning underneath still bubbles a tad bit more when your breath is felt.
and now i have risen. devoid of my glory and power to watch this first step of yours reach fruition as you meticulously spread the miasma of your words all around and realise your dreams of world domination. A dream that you may not know exists but yet continues to drive you on a subliminal level.
your hunger was insatiable then. you will stop at nothing now. and the pity is.....your well strung words will manage to fend off any possible chance of annihilation.
yet i see hope in one. maybe you shall face defeat yet.
The land of Rundramore shall gain its lost realms once more....
i dont know what the poem's about but it stirred me up a good bit! i arrived at your blog by accident and it's kind of a compliment that i didn't turn away in disgust or boredom.... in fact, i quite liked it!
PCP does wonders for the brain... (^_^)
Do you have copy writer for so good articles? If so please give me contacts, because this really rocks! :)
Dude: I liked the poem and was pretty impressed with some of the expressions you have used..Don't want to list them one by one as there are too many and I need to get back to being a corporate slave.
Your love for Bacchus is pretty apparent in most of your poems I have read...Also, agar tumko feedback chahiye toh did you try Caferati's Delhi meet ups..I landed up at one by default (ages ago with a friend) and liked what I saw..Did not participate in it though as there was no audience for my work i.e. audit reports and investment memorandums!
Chalo all the best and tata!
Waah, how complimentary. And for such an ancient post, and even more ancient poem at that!
My love for Bacchus, as for all intoxicants, is on a decline, something I am enjoying.
I tried Caferati twice in two different countries. But I am not seeking any specific feedback anyway. I have become a lot more secure about my writing in general. :)
